Together Again

This weekend was my company retreat. We went to Springdale, UT. This is right at the entrance to Zions Park. It was really nice. We have employees that work in St George, Salt Lake and Las Vegas and two times a year, our boss gets us all together. It was fun seeing everyone. It's nice to be able to put a face to a name. Robb couldn't go because he was on call and Hope didn't want to partake in the fun so she stayed home also. Jazz and Bud and I had a wonderfully relaxing time.
My wonderful bosses: Karen and Todd

Me reading at the pool. (I tried to crop the picture so you couldn't see my fat roles, but I still couldn't get them all to go away. Sorry for that.) Jazz feeding an elk
Bud feeding a bull. Check out those horns.
And me feeding the ferocious baby lamb.
Not sure who this is. (The indian, I mean)
Jazz and my bosses kids with their crazy hair-dos. Ashley and I. She works in Salt Lake and we talk 10 times a day so it was really nice to see her in person.

All in all it was a nice two days, but I was happy to get back home to my husband and my bed.

I am the luckiest girl alive. I have been blessed with two of the most amazing men in my life. I'm not great with words, but there is a song that I love by Holly Dunn that makes me think of my dad and husband. Here are the lyrics:
I remember Daddy´s hands, folded silently in prayer.
And reaching out to hold me, when I had a nightmare.
You could read quite a story, in the callouses and lines.
Years of work and worry had left their mark behind.
I remember Daddy´s hands, how they held my Mama tight,
And patted my back, for something done right.
There are things that I´ve forgotten, that I loved about the man,
But I´ll always remember the love in Daddy´s hands.
Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin´.
Daddy´s hands, were hard as steel when I´d done wrong.
Daddy´s hands, weren´t always gentle But I´ve come to understand.
There was always love in Daddy´s hands.
I remember Daddy´s hands, working 'til they bled.
Sacrificed unselfishly, just to keep us all fed.
If I could do things over, I´d live my life again.
And never take for granted the love in Daddy´s hands.
I love you two with all my heart and am so thankful that Heavenly Father allowed me to be a part of you lives.
Happy Father's Day!

New York

Over Memorial day, Quinn, my coworker, and I went to New York for a Yankees-Mariners game. It was a very quick trip, but since Quinn lived in New York while going to mortuary school, he new the best and fastest ways to get to the places I wanted to see. Because of his incredible knowhow of the city and subway system(which had me completely confused) we got to take in an enormous amount of sights in a very little timeframe. Thanks for the tour of YOUR city, and a good time at an awesome game.

Me at the temple.

Coffee shop on Seinfeld
Ichiro at the plate at Yankee Stadium.
Brooklyn Bridge
My favorite place in New York. Little Italy
