Milis

Ive been in a little funk lately, so my sweet sister, that I havent seen for about four years came to visit me last week. We had so much fun together.
We ate at The Cheesecake Factory.
Went to The Goretorium.  (Thank you drunk lady for the pic!)
Relaxed at the Casa Spa.

Took the grandkids shopping.
Enjoyed the Kite Festival.

Toured the Moapa Zoo.

Chilled at the pool.

Ate "Monkey Brains".
Walked the strip.
Awed the view.

And, rode the New York three times.  Fun every time.

Fun memories about this trip:  Milisa had never walked The Strip before and couldnt, for the life of her, keep quiet.  She felt she had to respond to everyone handing out nudie pictures, offering free drinks or no covers to the strip clubs.  I hadnt laughed that hard in a very long time.
On our last day together, we decided we wanted to go to Primm and ride the roller coaster.  We checked the website for hours and headed out. When we got there, we learned that it was only open on the weekends, so we hurried back to our hotel so we could hang by the pool, we got there 15 minutes before they closed.  So, we thought we would hurry up and go eat and then go the The Shark Reef. After eating, we got there 10 minutes after closing.  Thank you New York, New York for coming through for us.
My sister came at the perfect time for us.  She is the most generous, loving, positive person I know and although I didnt want her to leave or go back to work, I felt rejuvenated and ready.  Im eagerly counting down the months awaiting her return. Love you Milis!

Senior Ball

Just some quick pics from Senior Ball.  Jazz went with Clancy Leavitt.
Isnt she beautiful?

Notice the creeper photobombing the picture.  Robb has a rule that all the boys that take Jazz out wrestle him.  One of these days, Im afraid, one of them is going to surprise him.

Day Off

Tuesday, Robb and I had the same day off, for once.  We decided to take advantage and not waste it.  First, we decided to go for a hike.  I wanted to go on one of the nice trails in Santa Clara.  Clearly marked, beautiful red rocks, you know exactly where you are going and how far, etc.  That's how I like to do things.  Well, my husband doesnt roll like that.  We ended up on a turn off in the gorge.  We had to cross a barbed wire fence.  There was no trail whatsoever.  We just started walking.
It actually turned out pretty fun.  We eventually hit the river and did some wading.

I then caddied for the sexiest man in Mesquite.  He didnt get mad too many times. I only had to cover my ears maybe five times. We had a wonderful day off together.

Spring

I really am trying to do better updating.  Here's a quick catch up.
My first daughter to attend Prom.  It was fun to be able to help with the dress, etc.  He asked her in a very sweet way.  First of all, he called and asked my permission to take her.  I thought that was very respectful. Colors were red and white and the theme was Taylor Swift. He composed a poem with every song that Taylor has done to ask her.  It is in her scrapbook. He decorated her room red and white with kisses all over the floor.  She answered him by having each of his teachers during the day hand him a CD with a Taylor Swift lyric on it.  The boys had a basketball game that day and she had the bus driver give him the last CD and then she decorated his car with a big yes on the windshield.
Jazz and Rich Martinez
Jazz is on a club volleyball team.  As a fundraiser, they held a luau.  They had dancers from maybe 8 or 9 islands entertain us.  It was really fun.  One of my friends son, who is seven, was getting soooo embarrassed watching the girls shake it.  Oh, to be young and innocent again.
We had our ward spring party.  Picnic and old fashioned races.  Three legged, gunny sac, egg toss, etc.  It was a blast.  Look at my long hair. Oh, long hair, how I miss you grazing my back.  I've cut about 6 inches off and got bangs.  REGRET!  I dont know why I do that.  I regret my decision every time.
Some of the adults cheating. What?? Grown men dont cheat.
So far, spring has been wonderful, although I will never complain about our winters.  I dont even think I put a winter coat on this year.

Im Back

It seems as if almost every talk in church or article in the Ensign, etc have been about family history, so, I have decided to start up my blog again.  One day I hope to make them into books for my posterity to read. I dont have the most exciting life in the world, but it's my life and I love it!!
Last weekend, we went to the NCAA PAC 12 tournament in Vegas.
Jazz and Bud with the Oregon Duck.  I think this was their favorite part.
This pic was taken by an extremely drunk man.  It was nice of him to offer, though.  The first pic he took had his thumb in the picture.
Robbs "picture" face.  Its pretty sexy, isnt it?
One of my favorite parts of these two games we went to were the University of Arizona fans.  They were out in droves.  The whole arena was red and we had to have heard the "U of A" chant fifty thousand times. They love their team.  I love where we live and I love doing anything with my family. I also am excited to be back online.
