Sappy Fathers Day

Im most likely a little prejudice but I think I have two of the most amazing fathers in my life right now. My dad and my husband.
Anyone who knows these two men know how wonderful they are so I wont brag or gloat. I thought Id do something a little different.
2 Things you probably know about them:
My dad:
1) He is the most unjudgemental person I know. I think that is truly being Christlike and I try and emulate that in my life.
2) He loves my mom more than anything in the world. He is always complimenting her and hugging and kissing on her. I never thought I would be able to find someone that loved me as much as my dad loves my mom.
Robb:
1) He has the funniest sense of humor. He is constantly making the kids and I laugh. I have to say that life would be dull and boring without Robb around.
2) He always gives 110% no matter what he does and sometimes this isnt always a good thing but I wish I had half of his drive.
2 Things you probably dont know about them:
My dad:
1) He had this crazy idea when he was a young boy that he could fly and he actually jumped out of his second story bedroom window.
2) He has a hard time hunting. It hasnt always been like this. As he has gotten older he turned too tender hearted and he just cant kill anymore.
(Well birds are another story, huh mom?)
Robb:
1) He is absolutely terrified of spiders. I do all the killing of the eight legged creatures in our home.
2) Of all the crazy stunts Robb has pulled, and let me tell you there are too many to count, he has never broken a single bone.
I am so very blessed to have these two outstanding men in my life. I love Fathers Day and the opportunity I have to celebrate and honor them.

Our "New" Life

We have officially moved. I am not notorious for being long winded and my blogging is known to be the same. . . short and sweet. Mostly this is for my mom and dad because we are just too far away to see each other.
This is our new town . . .

This is our new house . . .

This is my new job . . .

And this is Robbs semi-new job . . .
On a different note. I was able to attend the funeral of a great man last weekend. At that service, this great man was there. I was able to not only hear him speak but also shake his hand. What a great day that was.
This is our Memorial Day jaunt we took to Logandale.

We have had no computer for three weeks now. None of us have died from internet withdrawals yet but hopefully we will get hooked up again soon.

A Look Back

This birthday has been really hard for me. I've officially entered the last year of my 30s. They do say that 40 is the new 20, but that still doesnt make me feel any better. Today I was thinking about the fads and fun I have been able to be a part of during these first four decades of my life and these are just a few of my favorites:
1970s - Bell bottoms, Strawberry Shortcake Dolls, Star Wars, John Lennon, Saturday morning cartoons and my first kiss.
1980s - Leg warmers, Speak and Spell, Breakfast Club, Prince, videos on MTV and my first child.
1990s - Flannel shirts, Jenga, Silence of the Lambs, Nirvana, Friends and a college degree.
2000s - As my husband would say "guys wearing their little sisters pants" (theyre not my favorite but always make me laugh), XBox, Lord of the Rings, Linkin Park, Reality television and an eternal family.
Ive lived in New Mexico, Montana, Nebraska, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and soon to be Nevada.
Ive made and lost great friends.
Ive had four of the most amazing kids. I hope that I've instilled in them some of the wonderful lessons and qualities my parents taught me.
I pray that the next 40 years of my life are filled with just as much health, happiness and love that the first 39 years have brought me.
