Our Pioneer Day

Back in December when my husband became hollow man, lost his 41 pounds and won the biggest loser contest at his work, he won three wonderful prizes. We cashed in on one of those prizes this Pioneer Day and finally went to Lake Powell, courtesy of the Metcalf family. We spent two amazing days on their houseboat.

Jazz and Robb

Bobby playing with Ron's remote control boat. This is my favorite picture. I love my husband for many, many reasons. One of these reasons is his ability to show no fear. This is him diving off the top of the houseboat. Hope and Kymbre in their kayaks. They had so much fun together.
Jazz and Bud in their kayaks.
Jazz took this picture. Pretty cool with the water coming off the slide.
Me, Hope and Bud just loungin in the nice warm water.
Me coming back from that little canyon behind me. I am soooo sore from just that little jaunt. I need to get into better shape. Me on the knee board
Jazz knee boarding
Kymbre' wake boarding
Hope wake boarding
Robb skiing Yet another reason I need to get into shape. As you can see, Robb had no trouble gaining back his 41 pounds. (He's still very sexy, though)
Many people attempting to help Bud water ski. He looks pretty scared, huh? He did try it once. He got a pretty good amount of water in his nose, mouth and eyes, and that was it..... he was done.
Jazz on the jet ski. All my kids seemed to get that "no fear" gene from Robb.
Robb and Quinn. Quinn is the boss's son-in-law, Robb's co-worker and good friend. He is the one Robb went to New York with.
Hope, Robb making a face, of course, and Kymbre in the house boat. It was a very fun two days. The Pulver's definately went some places and did some things they never had before. Our own little pioneer trek.

Fun at the "Fun" Home

Last weekend we got together with friends for some fun at the "fun" home. (Funeral Home) It was Robb and I, Matt and Meree and Amy and Dan, plus all our kids. We ate some good food, played some Rock Band and learned almost too much about each other during the Newlywed Game. Since I forgot my camera, I had to steal these pictures from Amy's blog.

The three couples in our rousing game of Newlywed, which Robb and I took second. And please ignore my husband. He's a handful. (It really is never boring at the Pulver home, though.)These are just some random pictures of us. Even Ed snuck in to participate.
Pulver girls minus Jazz. Look, Kymbre even let us take pictures!
Robb doin what he does best. He is a great singer, if you don't already know.
More Rock Band pictures. There's Jazz and Bobby. Check Dan out. He was rockin out to Boston. We had a marvelous time and can't wait to do it again!

Todd's Birthday

Last week, we had a semi-surprise birthday party for Robb's co-worker/boss, Todd. His wonderful wife, Lori, organized it, but, I'm thinking he figured it out before it even started. We met and ate at the "Gun Barrel." It was delicious. The restaurant originated in Jackson Hole, WY. They serve wild game and everything is cooked over a mesquite grill. The atmosphere was great. You feel like your eating inside of a hunting lodge. It was a pretty neat place. Some people brought gag gifts. Of course, Robb did and he added a pretty special little limerick with it. What a talented man I'm married to!

This is Robb, Todd waving, and the owner of the funeral home, Ron, in the background.

Robb's co-worker, Quinn and his wife, Nicole.

We went back to Todd's house where he was met by MANY friends and family to have cake and ice cream. The "gentlemen," and I use that word loosely, from the funeral home. Ed, Quinn, Dan and RP. It was a fun night. Happy Birthday, you old man!

4th of July

For the 4th, we decided to get together with some other couples that have moved to St George from Lovell. Kyle and Catherine Leithead and their two sweet girls, Kristin Mayes and her two beautiful girls (Eli was taking his final pilot's test) and Michelle and Jayson Thompson and their two girlies and Jayden. We were going to bbq at the new park by our house, but it was just too hot and the kids were miserable so we came back to our house for some eating and swimming.

Bud at the pool.

Catherine and Anastyn. Anastyn fell right on her little face and got a fat lip. She was tough, though.

Kyle and Matty. She has no fear. Makes me laugh. Teisha, Jayson and Kyle

Jayson, RP and I
Teisha and Jayden, Elle, BrookLynn and Bobby
Michelle and Jayson and Matty and Kyle
After we ate, the Thompson's stayed and played games. We got to know a lot about each other that night.
The 4th always makes me think of my wonderful Aunt Dola and in remembrance of her, we always wear our hats. I don't even know why. I believe it is because she always wore a hat everywhere she went.
Bud and Jayden. They are so cute together. It was a fun night. Hopefully we don't wait another year before we all get together again.

GEORGIA

My two youngest daughters just returned from spending the week in Georgia with Robb's brother Bill and his sweet wife, Tiffany. They were able to have many new experiences, but being young and even with me prodding, they didn't take hardly any pictures. Here is what I have:

This is them at the airport getting ready to board their plane. Neither of them had flown before and you can see by both of their expressions that they were a little anxious. They did great, though. Because Hope was "of age" they didn't give them an escort, so they did it all themselves. They had a two hour layover in Charlotte and made it to their next plane which then took them to Jacksonville, FL. All in all, they were able to visit three new states.

This is Bill and his wife Tiffany. What great sports they were.

Jazz, I'm guessing on the boat. They chartered a boat to go shark fishing, but Jazz got so seasick, by the time they had the captain check on her, he said that she was going into shock and took them quickly back to shore.

This is Bill's boss's daughter, Salli. She and Hope became good friends.

They were able to go to a theme park. This in one of the rides the girls went on. When Jazz got all the way to the top and was strapped in, the operator told her he hoped her harness held because it was made out of duck tape and then let them go. Not very nice.

This is a picture that Jazz took from the airplane. She calls it heaven. I'm glad that they are able to have new experiences but I'm also glad to get them home safe and sound.
