Sis

Last weekend Kymbre came down.  We havent had all our family together for over a year.  I can understand the concept of letting your kids spread their wings, but I sure would like to clip all my baby birds wings so they cant go so far.

Three pictures of Kymbre.  Its a record.
Hurry back, sis.  We miss you already!!

The Parentals

My mom and dad came to Vegas for my dads job last week.  So, like the good mom that I am, I took my kids out of school for two days and we hung out in Vegas for 4 days.  We hit all the usual places.
M&M Store
I got hit on by a creepy Storm Trooper.
The Rain Forest Cafe.  That snake sincerely freaked me out.
Bobby got to spend one of the days with my dad at the convention.
Robb couldnt get off, so, mom and dad came to Mesquite and got a quick tour of our home and the mortuary, etc.

But, this was the very best part of the whole trip.  Mom and dad had been anticipating this moment for 9 months now, and Bentley didnt let them down.  He couldnt have been any cuter or sweeter. Im pretty sure they were seriously thinking about stashing him in their carry on bag when they left.
I sure miss these two amazing people.  I miss my moms laugh and my dads big hands that give the best hugs in the world. He always makes me feel like a beautiful princess.  I know it sounds corny but my mom is really one of my best friends and sometimes phone calls, emails and texting just isnt enough. I took as much of them in as I could.  Hopefully it doesnt have to last me another two years.

Nothin But a Good Time

We had another fun filled weekend.  Have I said that I love where we live?  I think I have too many times to count.  Anyway, Vandenbooms came down for the Nascar Races and this is the 3rd time we have gotten together with them when they've come down.  Jazz had a tournament close to there, so it worked out perfect.  We were able to go to her games and spend time with Corey and Amee.
We stayed in the New York, New York with them.  And Saturday morning, Robb and I went on the roller coaster.  My poor hubby, was sick the rest of the day.  We found out that he has a little girly stomach and cant handle even roller coasters.  I guess I'll have to find someone else to go to the Stratosphere with me.  Its okay, honey, I still love you.
After the race, we went to some MMA fights.  It was a lot of fun.
A little story behind us taking Bobby to the fights.  I didnt go to the last fights and, from what Id seen of UFC fights on tv, there is general debauchery at them.  Drinking, swearing, scantily dressed girls, etc, so I didnt even consider taking him to these.  He was pretty upset about it.  Robb decided that it would be okay so I reluctantly agreed.  I sat down and had a one on one with him while he was in bed explaining that he was my baby and I didnt want him around those kind of things.  He calmly told me that he was not a baby anymore and to please stop calling him that.  I apologized and started picking up his room. Pretty soon he quietly said, "Mom", I said, "What?"  He said, "But I will always be your baby boy."
Oh that one. . . . He is my sunshine.  I dont know what Id do without him.
And, the fights werent as bad as I thought.  No drinking and no swearing.  There were girls walking around with their behinds hanging out but we just made him cover his eyes. ;)
