My baby turned 12 on Friday. We had a fun party but that will be another post.
He was ordained Sunday, by his father, as a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood.
It was a bittersweet day.
I have the best calling in the ward. That of primary pianist. One of my favorite parts of the Sunday meetings is when I get to see my son walk into primary with his class. He always looks over at me with this twinkle in his eye. This week, though, I didn't get to see his smiling face. I was looking at the cute sunbeam boys sitting on their little chairs, thinking, where have the years gone?
I love watching him play basketball and beam at the fact that he makes the A honor roll but nothing has made me more proud than knowing that my husband and son are worthy to hold this privilege given to them by God. I am so thankful for Robb's perfect example. I think it is so wonderful that Heavenly Father trusts my two men with this extraordinary power. My son is now a young man and I couldn't be more proud to be his mother.

I'm proud of him too and of his parents who are a good example to him. Wow, 12. I was the primary pianist for a couple of years. It really is a good calling.
One more thing... I like your oldies songs better than jump, jump, jump...ha ha
