Wish You Were Here!

Hope made this for her best friend.

Bobby being a little timid. I love this picture!
One of Robb's highlights of the trip. Going to see John Wayne's gravesite.

We were able to take the kids to Newport Beach, CA for spring break two weeks ago. The kids had only seen the Oregon coast, so this was a new experience. The weather was perfect and I don't remember the kids ever fighting. It was a blast!
Ya! We wore them out!
The only picture of me that I am putting on here is one of me with a HORRIBLE burn as I have come to realize I don't have the body of a 20 year old anymore. I am STILL peeling from the burn. You can't really see it in the picture but I hurt. I am not used to burning. Totally worth it, though!

That is Jasmine in the background.
Check out Bobby's curly hair and Kymbre's gorgeous smile. She had just gotten her braces off.
We were able to have my mom and dad and Kymbre visit us here in St George. These are just some of the pictures from then.
Kymbre and her daddy. Robb making a face, of course.
Mom and dad outside our gorgeous temple.
Tim and Kymbre. It was a great visit. Kymbre didn't want to go home and we didn't want her to go.

My Bobcat

Bobby received his Bobcat badge tonight. Pretty good for a mum and pop who have only had girls. We are so proud of him!

Newest Marchant

I want to formally welcome the newest member of the Marchant family!
Annalyn Rai Marchant was born last night. Her mom and dad are David and Jennie, and they are so excited that she is finally here. She weighs 7 lbs 5 oz and is 18 and 1/4 inches long. Mom and baby are doing perfect. Check out that head of hair! I love it! I can't wait to see and hold her.

My Favorite Picture

As you will see when I start posting more pictures, Robb doesn't always take the best photos. I can't figure out why this is because I think he is sooo good looking. He always has to be funny, though, and make faces for some reason. That's why this is my favorite picture of us. No funny faces. Just him looking absolutely peaceful and content. This picture was taken at my mom and dad's home in Cowley on one of Robb's only three visits home while he was at school. That time apart was a huge sacrifice for us and the kids. It was a great learning experience and we grew closer as a couple and a family because of it.

Strong Women

I consider myself a strong person. Not physically, so much, but emotionally and lately, spiritually. I have endured a lot in my short life here on this earth and I feel like it has made me the woman I am today. I have always looked up to and admired strong women. Some of these amazing ladies include: Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Emma Smith and my beautiful mother. These women have attributes that I continually strive for each and everyday of my life. I hope that I can instill some of these marvelous qualities in my daughters. I recently found a poem by Maya Angelou that I really loved and I want to share it with all the incredibly strong ladies in my life.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own, even if she never wants to or needs to...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..a youth she's content to leave behind....
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her old age....
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .....a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ....a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honored...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a feeling of control over her destiny...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...how to fall in love without losing herself..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without;ruining the friendship...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...that her childhood may not have been perfect...but it's over...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.. .whom she can trust, whom she can't,and why she shouldn't take it personally...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...where to go...be it to her best friend's kitchen table... or a charming inn in the woods...when her soul needs soothing...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...what she can and can't accomplish in a day...a month...and a year...

I am so truly blessed to have ALL of you remarkable women in my life. You've each given me a special piece of you that I've taken and held close to my heart. Thank you!
